I am currently involved at 5 schools in the southern suburbs area – Abbotts, Cedar House, John Wycliffe, Rondebosch and Rosmead.
My aim in these schools is to help foster and equip small Christian communities (what I sometimes call ‘missional communities’) that love God and love people.
The way I hope to foster this is through Bible-based evangelism, teaching and discipleship. Hopefully, the good news of Jesus will then be individually appropriated and subsequently permeated throughout the schools and result in small communities of authentic, Christian students who are ethically distinctive, thereby attracting others into a love-relationship with Jesus.
So far – I only started at the beginning of 2009 – things are going well and there is promising interest at the schools. I look forward to seeing how it is going to develop, under the Sovereign hand of God, throughout the year. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5,6
